21 Working with queries
The VSM client enables you to query the objects on the local SVSP domain to find objects that match
criteria that you define. Queries are not limited to one type of object. To use the query feature, you
first create a query. You then add criteria to the query. Once a query is created, you can run the
query as many times as you want. You can also modify the query by adding or removing criteria.
NOTE:
If you want to search for only one type of object at a time, you can use the search function. For more
information, see “Searching VSM” on page 321.
You can:
• View the queries list
• View query information
• Create new queries
• Add query criteria
• Remove query criteria
• Run queries
• Rename queries
• Import and export queries
• Delete queries
Viewing the queries list
The queries list displays a list of all queries defined for objects on the local domain.
To view the queries list: In the navigation tree, click the Queries node. The queries list appears in the
list area.
