Encore Multi-Fuel Heater What Kind of Chimney to Use Prefabricated Chimneys You must connect the Encore Multi-Fuel to a code-approved masonry chimney with a flue liner, to a relined masonry chimney that meets local codes, or to a prefabricated metal chimney. Wood stove or insert operation depends on natural (unforced) draft. Natural draft occurs when the smoke is hotter (and therefore lighter) than the outdoor air at the top of the chimney.
