AfterOperationSafety
Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunits,
mufers,andenginecompartmenttohelpprevent
res.Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
Ifthecuttingunitsareinthetransportposition,use
thepositivemechanicallock(ifavailable)before
youleavethemachineunattended.
Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanyenclosure.
Removethekeyandshutoffthefuel(ifequipped)
beforestoringortransportingthemachine.
Neverstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheateroronotherappliances.
Keepallpartsofthemachineingoodworking
conditionandallhardwaretightened,especially
blade-attachmenthardware.
Replaceallwornordamageddecals.
PushingtheMachineby
Hand
Ifthemachinestallsorrunsoutoffuel,youmayneed
topushit.Youmustrstopenbothofthehydraulic
bypassvalves.
Important:Alwayspushthemachinebyhand
andneveralongdistance.Nevertowthemachine,
becausedamagetothehydraulicsystemmay
occur.
PushingtheMachine
1.Disengagethepowertakeoff(PTO),turnthekey
totheOFFposition,removethekey,andengage
theparkingbrake.
2.Lifttheseat.
3.Rotateeachbypassvalvecounterclockwise
1turn(Figure25).
Note:Thisallowshydraulicuidtobypassthe
pump,enablingthewheelstoturn.
Important:Donotrotatethebypassvalves
morethan1turn.Thispreventsthevalves
fromcomingoutofthebodyandcausing
uidtorunout.
4.Disengagetheparkingbrakebeforepushing
themachine.
ChangingtoMachineOperation
1.Rotateeachbypassvalveclockwise1turnand
handtightenthem(Figure25).
Note:Donotovertightenthebypassvalves.
2.Torquethevalvesapproximately8N∙m(71in-lb)
asshowninFigure25.
Note:Themachinedoesnotdriveunlessthebypass
valvesareturnedin.
