Audio Power The UR5 can be powered by AA batteries, a Shure SB900 rechargeable battery, or through the Shure AFP522DC camera mount. Audio Setup Use the following steps to connect the receiver to a camera. These steps can also be used to connect to other devices, such as field recorders. Standard AA Batteries Use the AA adapter (installed in the battery compartment as shipped) when using AA batteries. 1.
Radio Frequency (RF) Settings SystemSetup Transmitter Compatibility Scan and Sync The receiver is compatible with both UHF-R and Axient transmitters, but must be set to the correct system mode. Select the transmitter type from the system mode menu (SYS MODE). This configures the receiver with a compatible tonekey, audio companding, and IR sync protocol. The UR5 does not have Axient ShowLink capabilities. Use this procedure to set a receiver and transmitter to the same open channel.
Setting the Receiver to a Frequency from the Spectrum View Other Settings Receiver Label 1. Use the spectrum menu to display full scan results (RADIO > FULL SCAN > SPECTRUM). The MTx feature stores a list of presets, allowing you to easily switch from one transmitter to another without having to reconfiguring receiver settings.
Syncing Transmitters to the MTx List SPECIFICATIONS After creating an MTx list, you can sync transmitters to the list entries. When you sync a transmitter to a list entry, it transfers the RF setting and name of that entry to the transmitter.
