Function Code 15 – Summer (2 Inputs)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This function performs a weighted sum of two inputs. By choosing the proper gains and
inputs this block can perform
proportional, bias or difference functions. It also can be
used as a scaler for non-zero based signals by referencing the second input to a constant
block.
The following equation describes the operation of this function:
Output = (S1*S3) +( S2* S4)
UTILIZATION
The MOD 30ML/MODCELL compound FC3 used here has an EX function block
(Expression block).

The EX block has two inputs S1 and S2 that need to be connected to the attributes that are
being added and two more inputs S3 and S4 that are used as scalars..
EXPLANATION
The scalar/gain inputs S3 and S4 have default value 1. This can be changed in the input
configuration. The compound also allows you to connect external inputs to S3 and S4..
