Running Liquid Controls
ITC recommends either of the following liquid controls.
● RNA CO-Oximeter controls, available from RNA Medical, Devens, MA., phone 978 772-
9070 or toll-free 800-533-6162.
● Multi-4™ CO-Oximeter controls, available from Instrumentation Laboratory, Inc.,
Lexington, MA., phone toll-free 800-955-9525.
1. Fill a test cuvette with a liquid control (see page 28).
2. Run a test (see pag
e 29).
3. Record the T
Hb and %HbO
2
results, or print the results of the test (see page 30).
4. Verify that the results are within the expected range of values for the liquid control.
