GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. After completing the cut, wait for the saw chain to stop before you move the chain saw. Always stop the motor before moving from tree to tree.

Fit the chain onto the drive sprocket, so that the fastening bar hole and the two bar locating tabs on the bar pad fit into the keyway of the opening on the guide bar. (See Fig. B1, B2) 8. Assure all parts are seated properly. Make sure the drive links are fully seated in the drive sprocket (See Fig. C1), avoiding a kink as shown in Fig. C2. If kink occurs, pick up on the chain at the guide bar just ahead of the kink and then pull the kink out.
OPERATION INSTRUCTION BEFORE PUTTING INTO OPERATION 1. CHARGING YOUR BATTERY PACK FOR CHARGER HT19-401-003-14 IMPORTANT NOTES FOR CHARGING BATTERY The battery in your new tool is not charged when it leaves the plant. Therefore it must be full charged before using the first time. NOTE: If the battery pack is very hot you must remove your battery pack from the charger and allow your battery pack to cool first to ambient temperature and then recharging can be started.

The light will be green. 2) Slide the battery pack into the charger, the light will turn to red to indicate the charging process has started. 3) When charging is completed, the light will turn to green. The pack is now fully charged, unplug the charger and remove the battery pack.
9) Keep practicing on scrap logs in a secure working area until you are comfortable, using a fluid motion and a steady cutting rate. THE CHAIN BREAK (Built-In, Manual and Automatic and Systems) (See Fig. J) The manual chain brake is a safety mechanism activated through the front hand guard when kickback occurs. Chain stops immediately. The following function check should be carried out at regular intervals. 1. Manual chain brake: push front hand guard forward (position 2) and try starting the chain saw.

SAW MAINTENANCE WARNING: Remove the battery pack from the tool before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance. Follow maintenance instructions in this manual. Proper cleaning of saw and chain and Guide Bar maintenance can reduce chances of kickback. Inspect and maintain saw after each use. This will increase the service life of your saw. Note: Even with proper sharpening, risk of kickback can increase with each sharpening. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE OF CHAIN SAW 1.
File Rail Edges and Sides Square Worn Groove Correct Groove Replace the Guide Bar when the groove is worn, the Guide Bar is bent or cracked, or when excess heating or burring of the rails occurs. If replacement is necessary, use only the Guide Bar specified for your saw in the repair parts list or on the decal located on the chain saw. Replacing Bar & Chain Replace chain when cutters are too worn to sharpen or when chain stops. Only use replacement chain noted in this manual.

No retire las ramas grandes que se encuentran por debajo del tronco y separan a éste del suelo. Retire cada rama con un solo corte. Para evitar el atrapamiento de la sierra, comience por cortar las ramas que cuelgan libremente, desde arriba hacia abajo. Para cortar ramas en tensión, comience a cortarlas desde abajo. MANTENIMIENTO DE LA SIERRA ADVERTENCIA: Retire la batería de la herramienta antes de realizar cualquier ajuste, trabajo de servicio o mantenimiento. Siga las instrucciones de mantenimiento de este manual. La limpieza correcta de la sierra y el mantenimiento adecuado de la cadena y la barra de guía pueden reducir las probabilidades de contragolpe. Después de cada uso, inspeccione su sierra y realice las tareas de mantenimiento necesarias. Esto prolongará la vida útil de la sierra.
Luego de cada utilización, con la unidad desconectada de la fuente de alimentación, quite todo el aserrín de la barra de guía y orificio de la rueda dentada. Después de cada uso, retire el paquete de batería, limpie todo el aserrín de la Barra guía y el orificio de la rueda dentada. Cuando el riel superior se encuentra desparejo, utilice una lima plana para devolverle los bordes y laterales cuadrados.
