NAME
drd status - display status information for an existing inactive system image.
SYNOPSIS
drd status
[-?][-q][-v][-x option=
value][-x -?][-X
option_file ]
DESCRIPTION
The
drd status command reports information about the inactive system image.
The DRD commands manage two system images:
The image
sysimage_000 consists of the LVM volume group or VxVM disk group that was booted when
the most recent drd clone
command was run, and resides on the physical disk that contains that
group. This is the original disk, whose contents are copied to the inactive system image.
The image
sysimage_001 consists of the LVM volume group or VxVM disk group that was created by
the drd clone
command, and resides on the target disk of the drd clone
command.
Since the system may have been booted from the clone between running
drd clone and drd status
,
either
sysimage_001 or sysimage_000 may be booted when the
drd status command is run.
The following output is displayed by the
status command:
Clone Disk Target disk used to create the clone
Clone Disk State Reports presence of boot loader,
AUTO file and SYSINFO.TXT file (Itanium-
based system only) on the clone disk
Date Created Date on which the clone image was created
Clone Mirror Disk Disk used to create the mirror image
Mirror Disk State Reports presence of boot loader, AUTO file and SYSINFO.TXT file (Itanium-
based system only) on the mirror disk
Original Disk Disk that the original image resides on
Original Disk State Reports presence of boot loader,
AUTO file and SYSINFO.TXT file (Itanium-
based system only) on the original disk
Booted Disk Specifies which disk is currently booted
Activated Disk Upon reboot, the system will boot off this disk
Note: "Disk State" varies depending on the system’s architecture. The
drd status command will list
either "LIF Area" or "EFI Partition" instead of "Disk State". For Itanium-based systems, the disk state will
report whether the personality file,
SYSINFO.TXT, exists on the specified disk. This file is used to
rehost a disk. See the drd-rehost (1M) man page for more information.
Options
drd status recognizes the following options:
-? Displays the usage message.
-q Decreases the verbosity level by one each time it is specified. For example, -qq will reduce the
verbosity from the default value of 4 to 2. If both -x verbosity=5 and -qqq are included
on the command line, the effective verbosity is 2. The minimum verbosity level is 0. (See also the
-x verbosity option).
-v Increases the verbosity level by one each time it is specified. For example, -v will increase the
effective verbosity from the default value of 4 to 5. If both -x verbosity=1 and -vv are
included on the command line, the effective verbosity is 3. The maximum verbosity level is 5.
(See also the -x verbosity option).
-x -? Displays the list of possible -x (extended) options.
-x option=value
Sets the extended option to a value. See Extended -x Options definitions below.
-X option_file
Gets the extended options from a file.
