1. Introduction Starting with the September 2009 HP-UX 11i v3 Operating Environment update release (OEUR), HP has changed the default installed version of VxFS. Previous HPUX 11i v3 OEURs included the 4.1 and 5.0 versions of VxFS and the default install selection would install VxFS 4.1. Starting with the HP-UX 11i v3 September 2009 OEUR, the default version of VxFS installed is changed from 4.1 to 5.0. However VxFS 4.1 and 5.0 continue to be shipped with all HP-UX 11i v3 September 2009 OEURs.

Installation Instructions To install a VxVM 4.1 based system along with VxFS 4.1, you must complete the steps provided in this section.
