Usage Information
When you create a VLT domain on a switch, the Dell Networking OS automatically creates a VLT-system MAC
address used for internal system operations.
To recongure the default MAC address for the domain, use the system-mac command. The MAC address must
be in the nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn format. Also recongure the same MAC address on the VLT peer switch.
unit-id
Congure the default unit ID of a VLT peer switch.
Syntax
unit-id [0 | 1]
Parameters
0 | 1 Congure the default unit ID of a VLT peer switch. Enter 0 for the rst peer. Enter 1 for
the second peer.
Defaults Automatically assigned based on the MAC address of each VLT peer. The peer with the lower MAC address is
assigned unit 0; the peer with the higher MAC address is assigned unit 1.
