2. Choose “Configure I/O Parameters” or “Auto Configure”
from the main menu. “Configure I/O Parameters” displays
the card’s current settings. “Auto Configure” proposes
settings for you. Check the settings that are proposed, and,
if necessary, select alternate settings from Table 1.
3. You can use the mouse or arrow keys to select the
parameters to be modified.
4. Press and a pop-up menu displays the choices for the
parameter you have selected.
5. When you have chosen the setting you want, press .
6. When you are satisfied with the selections for all
parameters, press to accept your changes and leave the
configuration menu.
In order to have the new configuration take effect,
you must cycle power and reboot the computer.
After configuring the I/O parameters, you can either run the
CardAssistant diagnostic software or go on to install the driver.
Driver installation is covered in Chapter 6, “Network Adapter
Card Drivers.”
