McIntosh's coaxial digital interconnects are beautifully made, with careful attention to internal construction, as well as some of the beefiest RCA connectors we've seen. Use these cables to connect McIntosh's digital components, like disc players and DACs. This beautifully made cable uses a single large solid copper conductor coated with a thin layer of silver. Silver-plated solid conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, like digital audio, because those signals travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Since the surface is made of high-purity silver, this cable's performance comes close to that of a solid silver cable.
