WebDAV
25.1 Overview
The WebDAV HTTP ext ension let s users edit and m anage files stored on rem ote servers. The NAS’s
WebDAV service allows client program s t hat support WebDAV, such as NetDrive and BitKinex on
Window s, Mac OS Finder, and Linux file browsers rem ot ely edit and m anage files stored on the NAS.

Use t he W ebD AV screen t o allow rem ote users to use client program s t hat support WebDAV t o edit
and m anage files stored on t he NAS.
Click Shar ing > W e bDAV to open the following screen.

privileges in Sha ring > Shar es.
Ht tps is for secure WebDAV connect ions t o t he NAS.
Exam ple When you enable WebDAV t he screen displays an exam ple of t he URL users would use
to use WebDAV t o connect t o t he NAS where “ sharenam e” represent s a share t hat t he
user can access. Use HTTPS for secure WebDAV connect ions t o t he NAS.
Enable anonym ous
Web DAV
Select t his t o allow rem ote users t o use WebDAV t o access all shares on t he NAS
without a login nam e or password.
Apply Click this t o save your changes.
Reset Click this to discard any unsaved changes and rest ore pr eviously saved sett ings.
