The following table describes t he labels in this screen.
10.7 DyDNS Screen
Use t his t o enable and configure Dynam ic DNS.
Dynam ic DNS ( DyDNS) allows you t o update your current dynam ic I P address with a dynam ic DNS
service so t hat anyone can cont act you ( such as t hrough NetMeet ing or CUSeeMe) . You can also
access your FTP server or Web site on your own com put er using a dom ain nam e ( for instance
m yhost.dhs.org, where m yhost is a nam e of your choice) t hat will never change instead of using an
I P address t hat changes each tim e you reconnect . Your friends or relatives will always be able to
call you even if t hey don't know your I P address.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Enable Telnet
Service
Select t his t o enable Telnet access t o t he NAS. Clear it t o not allow Telnet access t o the
NAS.
To use Telnet, log in as “ adm in” or “ root ” and use the adm in password.
Enable SSH
Service
Select t his t o enable SSH access t o t he NAS. Clear it t o not allow SSH access t o t he NAS.
To use SSH, log in as “ adm in” or “r oot ” and use the adm in password.
Apply Click this t o save your changes.
Reset Click t his to rest ore previously saved set tings.
