Although YorkShield 106 PT may be used
behind the ledger board, best practices
suggest using it in front.
Run YorkShield 106 PT five or more inches
upward on the outside wall from top of
ledger to prevent water entry to the home.
Please use hot dipped galvanized fasteners
on all outdoor projects; upgrading to stainless
steel is recommended.
(Optional) Use YorkWrap in conjunction with
YorkShield 106 PT to further ensure longevity
of hangers and project life.
Use YorkShield 106 PT with polypropylene side
out for isolation of hangers and galvanized
hardware.
Install as you would any conventional aluminum
or galvanized flashing.
Galvanized staples may be used to temporally
hold flashing in place until project is sided and
decked
CAUTION: polymer backing is an integral
part of the composite material and should
not be removed!
