NAMES OF PARTS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS Caution A grille is attached to this product to protect the speakers. • Since the grille cloth is made of soft material, it can be easily damaged, so do not scratch it with a sharp object. • Do not overstress the grille cloth. If it is overstressed, it will become contorted and damaged. This may cause damage to the speakers. Be careful when handling the grille cloth.
OPERATION BASIC FUNCTIONS Adjusting the clock A, C B A Press and hold OPTION for more than 2 seconds. The clock display flashes. B Adjust the time with TUNING. y If you press and hold TUNING, the numbers advance quickly. C Press OPTION. If you want to cancel clock setting mode, press . y Note The time settings are lost approximately one week after unplugging the unit. • If you press PRESET in step B, you can select the time display method (12 hours/24 hours).
BASIC FUNCTIONS ■ Switching the alarm on/off You can switch the alarm to ON or OFF with the alarm switch. When the alarm is on, the alarm indicator ( lights. ) Operations during playing back alarm sound At the set time, alarm sound plays back. ■ Stopping the alarm Press . y • Unless you stop the alarm, the alarm stops after 60 minutes automatically. • If you press any button except while the alarm is activating, the alarm sound will stop for about 5 minutes (snooze function).

If you want to check if this unit is currently receiving DAB or FM, see the information display. B A B For automatic tuning, press and hold TUNING. For manual tuning, press TUNING repeatedly. Note If you tune into a station manually, the sound is monaural. RADIO indicator Presetting radio stations You can store up to five favorite FM radio stations with the preset function.
LISTENING TO DAB STATIONS DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) and DAB+ use digital signals for clearer sound and more stable reception compared to analog signals. DAB+ is based on the original DAB standard but uses a more efficient audio codec. DAB and DAB+ are broadcast in blocks of data called “ensembles” containing up to several radio stations that are simultaneously broadcast. DAB and DAB+ can also include an extensive amount of text information, enabling you to select a station by name.

LISTENING TO DAB STATIONS Confirming the reception You can confirm the DAB signal level. This is useful when you set the antenna. A Press OPTION when the source is “DAB”. Option menu is shown on the information display. A, B, D B Press TUNING to select “Manual tune” and press OPTION. C Press TUNING to change the channel B, C label. The measured DAB signal reception level is displayed. The level is from 0 (none) to 100 (best). D Press OPTION to exit the option setting.
LISTENING TO MUSIC FROM YOUR Bluetooth DEVICE This unit provides Bluetooth functionality. You can enjoy wireless music playback from your Bluetooth device (smartphone, digital audio player, etc.). Please also refer to the owner’s manual of your Bluetooth device. Installation 88.35 MHz Install in a stable place, being careful of the following points: • Do not place on top of steel or other metal plates. • Do not cover with a cloth, etc.

The Bluetooth indicator ( ) will light in orange.
LISTENING TO EXTERNAL SOURCES A Connect your portable audio device to AUX using a commercially available 3.5 mm (1/8 in) mini plug cable. Rear panel A B C Note Turn down the volume of this unit and your portable audio device before connection. B Turn on the system. C Press SOURCE to set the playback source to AUX. The AUX indicator lights. AUX indicator D Start playback on the connected portable audio device.
TROUBLESHOOTING Refer to the table below if the unit does not operate properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below, or if the instruction below does not help, press to enter standby mode, disconnect the power cable, and contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center. General Problem The speakers make no sound. Cause The volume may be set to the minimum level. Solution Adjust the volume level. The source may be incorrect. Select the correct source.
