2 Press the numeric buttons (6) on the remote
control to enter the desired three-digit
channel number.
For example, to enter the number 123, press the
numeric buttons as shown below.
The display changes as follows.

To enter a one-digit or two-digit channel number, press the
numeric buttons (
6
) on the remote control and then press
K
ENT to confirm the input number.
If no button is pressed within a few seconds after you enter a
one-digit or two-digit number, this unit automatically confirms
the entered channel number.
Pressing a button other than the numeric buttons (
6
) or
K
ENT
cancels the Direct Number Access mode procedure.
If you enter the number 0, this unit displays your XM Radio ID
(see page 57).
You can use this feature to store up to 40 XM Satellite
Radio channels (A1 to E8: 8 preset channel numbers in
each of the 5 preset channel groups). You can then recall
any preset channel easily by selecting the preset channel
group and number as described in “Preset Search mode”
on page 58.
1 Search for a channel you want to set as a
preset channel by using one of the XM
Satellite Radio search modes.
2 Press
K
MEMORY (or

MEMORY).
The MEMORY indicator flashes in the front panel
display for approximately 5 seconds.
You must proceed to and carry out steps 3 through 5 while
the MEMORY indicator is flashing in the front panel
display.
3 Press

repeatedly to select a preset channel group
(A to E) while the MEMORY indicator is
flashing.
The preset channel group letter appears in the front
panel display.
