The sound is not heard from the earphones, or is only heard
from one ear.
• Make sure that the earphone connector is firmly connected to the device
(page 17).
• Make sure that the volume is not set to minimum (pages 42 and 58).
The LED doesn’t flash even if I attach the pulse sensor.
• The LED flashes only during an exercise session in the Free Workout, Walk
Fitness, Jog Fitness or Training modes, or when the Checking HR display is
shown (page 72). In all other situations, the LED is off.
My heart rate cannot be detected.
• Make sure to firmly connect the earphone connector to the device.
• Gently rub or massage your ear to stimulate blood circulation.
•Try changing the pulse sensor location.
• Adjust the sensitivity of the pulse sensor (page 66).
Wipe the lens of the pulse sensor with a soft and dry cloth. If dirt, oil or sweat
adheres to the lens of the pulse sensor, your pulse may not be detected
properly.
The song doesn’t change even when I speed up or slow down
the pace.
• Adjust the Pace Sensor and/or Step Sensor settings (page 67).
The songs change frequently even when I maintain a steady
exercise pace.
• Fasten the armband to your arm more tightly to prevent the motion sensor
from malfunctioning.
• Adjust the Pace Sensor and/or Step Sensor settings (page 67).
A click sound continues to sound during exercise
When the Tempo Guide function (page 62) is set to on, a click guide sounds
at the song tempo if your walking/jogging pace deviates from the tempo. To
stop the click, turn the Tempo Guide function off.
The device becomes hot during charging.
• Some heat during charging is normal. However, if the device becomes
extremely hot, some malfunction may have occurred. Have the device
inspected by qualified Yamaha service personnel.
Power cannot be turned off while charging the battery with the
USB AC power adaptor.
• This is normal. The BF-11 is always on during battery charging, for power
control purposes, when connected with the optional USB AC power adaptor.
It takes a certain amount of time to start up and/or shut down.
This is normal and indicates that the device is analyzing the music data and/
or exercise log data. (Depending on the data size, this may take a few
minutes.)
