Hardware Settings
The Hardware Settings let you set:
➤ The sensitivity of the sensors of the BF-11. (See “Sensors” below.)
➤ Various display-related controls. (See “Display” on page 68.)
➤ The correct date and time. (See “Date/Time” on page 70.)
From the Top Menu, select Settings ➞ Hardware Settings.
Sensors
The Sensors settings let you tailor the response and sensitivity of the sensors of
the BF-11. It lets you adjust the device to the strength of your pulse, the speed
of your walking/jogging stride and changes in your walking/jogging pace.
From the Hardware Settings menu, select the Sensors menu.
In the Sensors menu, the following items are shown: Pulse Sensor, Step
Sensor and Pace Sensor.
■ Pulse Sensor
This lets you adjust how sensitive the BF-11 sensor is to your pulse. For
example, if your pulse is weak or the BF-11 doesn’t seem to respond
properly to your pulse, adjusting the setting here can improve the
response.
h
Also refer to Troubleshooting on page 77 when you feel the BF-11 doesn’t respond properly to your
pulse.
From the Sensors menu, select the Pulse Sensor parameter.
Available settings:
High Sensitivity, Normal Sensitivity, Low Sensitivity
“Normal” is the default setting and should be fine for most people and
situations. If the BF-11 doesn’t seem to be responding properly, try changing
the setting. Select “High” if your pulse is weak, or “Low” if your pulse is strong.
