ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES: 1. Before installing, consult local electrical codes for wiring and grounding requirements.

2. READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

Collar (I)

1. Thread the cable through the collar, coupling kit, canopy, threaded

pipe, mounting strap, washer, hex nut and two holes of the strain

relief in order.

2. Install the end of threaded pipe by screwing into coupling kit.

3. Attach the threaded pipe to the mounting strap, and then secure

it with a washer and a hex nut.

4. Measure the desired length of the cable (A) from the canopy to

the top side of the ferrule nut and leave an additional 9" of

cable (B) above the canopy (include the canopy). Then cut off

the excess cable. (See Fig.1)

5. Adjust strain relief at 9" position from the top of the cable.

6. Mark the 3" of cord (C) from the top of the cord (B). cut carefully

around cable and peel off outer insulation to reveal 3 inner wires.

CAUTION: Cutting too deep may damage the insulation layer of 3 inner wires.

7. Measure 3/8" down from end of inner wires, and Strip insulation to expose wire ends.

8. Pull the cable ( A ) down slightly until the strain relief touches the hex nut of the threaded pipe, and then tighten the

headless screw onto the coupling kit to secure the cable.

Note: Adjust the strain relief inside the canopy to decrease or increase the length of cord that is exposed.

9. Attach the mounting strap to outlet box by using two mounting screws.

10. Pull out the source wires from the outlet box. Make wire connections using wire nuts as follows: a. The black wire marked "L" from the fixture to the black wire from the power source. b. The white wire marked "N" from the fixture to the white wire from the power source. c. The green grounding wire marked " " from the fixture to the green grounding wire from power source.
