The remote control is intended to work up to 25 feet away from the AC unit. It will not work reliably from further distances or if there are objects in between the remote and AC. To change the battery: 1. Slide the back cover off 2. Remove and properly dispose of the old battery 3.
Cleaning & maintenance. How to clean & change your filter Check the air filter once every couple of weeks. Dirt, dust, and other particles can block the airflow. This isn’t great for the efficiency of the machine or your air! To clean the included antimicrobial filter: 1. Remove the front intake grille. Place your hands in the bottom groove and pull out (it’s magnetic, so should be easy!) 2. Remove the filter. Use the plastic grips near each hole as you pull out.
Cleaning & maintenance. How to clean & store your AC We want your unit staying fresh and clean. Cleaning instructions and notes: ● You can clean the exterior parts of your AC with warm water and mild liquid dishwashing detergent. Use a soft wash cloth. ● Use a dryer part of the cloth to wipe down the display and buttons. Be careful not to get water or detergent near the display or buttons. ● Do not use harsh cleaning products.
Environmental impact. Lower your environmental footprint and energy bill with these simple tips 1. Clean your filter: A clean filter allows more air to flow through the AC, making it more energy efficient. 2. Maximize air flow: For ACs, free flowing air is like food. For them to “eat” and operate as efficiently as possible, they need air to pass through without being blocked. Make sure there is nothing blocking the air flow around your Windmill AC, on the inside and outside of your home. 4.
Warranty. Your AC comes with a one year limited warranty. To review the warranty specifics and register your new AC, go to windmillair.com/support. Note: You’ll need to have your model number and serial number handy before registering your AC. Both numbers can be found by removing the front intake grille. They will be on a white sticker attached to the inside of the front bezel.
