Caring for vent
wWARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect the electrical supply
before servicing the cooktop.
Turn fan and cooktop controls off
before cleaning the vent system.
Do not put hand into vent when fan
or controls are on.
Failure to follow these instructions
can result in death, electrical shock,
serious injury, or cuts.
NOTE: The vent fan system turns on by
itself when the grill or griddle is used.

HOW TO CLEAN
• Wash, rinse, and dry well.
• Clean in sink or dishwasher when soiled.
NOTE: Do not run the ventilation system without
the filter. Filter should always be placed at an
angle. As you face the front of the cooktop, the top
of the filter should rest against the left side of the
vent opening and the bottom of the filter should rest
against the right side of the ventilation chamber, at
the bottom. If the filter is flat against the fan wall,
the ventilation system will not work well.
• Clean whenever the chamber becomes soiled.
