a detrimental or adverse effect on the operation of the appliance. The higher the
content of t hese minerals and sal ts, the harde r your w ater is. T he s of te ner s hou ld b e
adj usted acco rding t o the har dness o f t he wa ter in you r area. Your local Water Aut hority
can advise you on the hardness of the water in your area.
Adjusting Salt Consumption
Th e dishw asher is de signed to al low for a dj ustment in the amo unt of sa lt co nsumed bas ed on the ha rdness of
the water used. This is intended to optimise and customise the level o f salt consumption.
1. Unscrew the cap from the salt container.
2. Ther e is a r ing o n the contai ner wi th an a rrow on it (see figure
on the side), if necessary, ro tate the ring in the anticlockwise
direction fro m the "-" Setting toward the "+" sign, based o n the
hardne ss o f the w at er being u se d.
