Water connection
Water inlet
Wash range hoods must be connected to the automatic wash
programming and control panel (accessory not supplied) by means
of a 3/4 pipe.
By means of programming, the panel manages the automatic cycle
for washing the filters located inside the hood.
For panel installation, use and maintenance, comply with the
instructions given in the special manual supplied with the
accessory.
Water drain
The water drain is located at the bottom of the filtering zone, and
must be connected to a floor drain by means of a 1 1/2" pipe.
Earth connection
Connect the various units to an efficient earth and include them in
an equipotential system.
Check system operation.
• Start the hood and the complementary devices.
• Check the efficiency of the system according to the various
required specifications (electrical input, air flow, efficiency of
wash system, light operation check, etc.).
• Train the user so that he becomes familiar with the command and
control devices.
The Manufacturer declines any liability if the safety regulations
are not respected.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the equipment from the power supply before carrying
out any cleaning or maintenance operations.
Periodical cleaning
Clean the stainless-steel parts with lukewarm soapy water, then
rinse and dry thoroughly.
Do not use detergent products containing abrasive or corrosive
substances, shavings, scouring pads, common steel brushes or
scrapers to clean the stainless-steel surfaces.
An extractor hood is an appliance for capturing the air containing
fats and odours coming from cooking equipment.
The hood must in any case regularly undergo the following
cleaning and maintenance operations in order to comply with the
hygiene requirements that modern kitchens have to meet.
Cleaning the hood without self-wash
Every week, remove the stainless-steel grease filters of the hood.
Clean them with hot water, if necessary using a washing lance with
detergent.
After washing the filters, rinse them in hot water, shake well and leave
to dry before refitting them in their seat.
Optional hood with self-wash
Periodically check the flow of water coming out of the spray nozzles;
the panels fitted inside the hood must be removed to carry out this
operation.
If the nozzles are obstructed by scale, put 1 litre of vinegar in the AWS
panel detergent container and do a complete wash cycle.
Important: grease deposits inside the filter can create the risk of fire
as well as poor hood operation. Therefore the filters should be carefully
andfrequently cleaned.
• Clean the stainless-steel surfaces with lukewarm soapy water,
then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Important: Do not use products containing corrosive substances
(chlorine bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.), even if diluted, or
shavings, scouring pads, common steel brushes or scrapers to
clean the steel surfaces.
Clean the ducts connecting the hood to the outside flue at least
twice a year.
• Have the system completely checked periodically (at least once a
year). For that purpose, it is advisable to stipulate a servicing
contract.
• Wear protective gloves when carrying out equipment cleaning
and maintenance operations.
Caution: Do not wash the equipment with direct or high
pressure jets of water.
Idle periods
During long appliance idle periods, take the following precautions:
- unplug the appliance;
- go over all the stainless-steel surfaces vigorously with a cloth
moistened with paraffin oil in order to form a protective film;
- periodically air the room.
- Have the equipment completely checked periodically (at least
once a year). For that purpose, it is advisable to stipulate a
servicing contract.

Disassemble the cooler and divide the components separately
according to their chemical characteristics. Remember that the
compressor contains oil and refrigerant gas which can be recyclead.
The coolers components are categorised as special urban waste.
