Klippon® Cable Glands – Introduction Ex e, Ex d cable glands for armoured and un-armoured cable In addition to our existing assortment of cable glands we now launch a new Klippon® family of glands for armoured and un-armoured cables for use in Ex e (increased safety) and Ex d (flameproof) applications. Additionally there are Klippon® stopping plugs and accessories such as locknuts, IP washers, serrated washers, shrouds and earth tags available.

Klippon® KDSU Cable Glands T Klippon® KDSU Cable Glands The KDSU type glands provide a universal armour clamp for steel wire, steel tape, screened or braided cables. An electrical bond between the cable armour and the gland is ensured. The gland can also be used to terminate unarmoured cables. In addition, the gland is fitted with two separate seals to seal the outer and inner cable insulation. When choosing the gland with a neoprene sealing a temperature range from –20 °C to +85 °C will be achieved.

Klippon® KDSX Cable Glands T Klippon® KDSX Cable Glands The KDSX glands provide an armour clamp for braided cables. An electrical bond between the cable armour and the gland is ensured. In addition, the gland is fitted with two separate sealings to seal the outer and inner cable insulation. The gland maintains a temperature range from -60 °C to +180 °C. With both sealing materials an IP rating of IP 66 and IP 68 to 25 metres (30 min at 2,5 bar) is maintained.

Klippon® KSG Cable Glands Klippon® KSG Cable Glands T The KSG gland is designed to terminate un-armoured cables. When choosing the gland with a neoprene sealing a temperature range from –20 °C to +85 °C will be achieved, whereas the gland with silicone sealing ensures a temperature range from –60 °C to +180 °C. With both sealing materials an IP rating of IP66 and IP68 to 25 metres (30 min. at 2,5 bar) is maintained.
