WiFi setup

In order to enable the WiFi feature to function, you need to setup the network, computer and handset

as told in the following section.

Network setup

Before the handset can access PC application, the correct home network and computer setups

have to be completed.

To connect the handset to the PC application, the computer network will need to have the conguration

as shown below:

• For the router or

access point, it

has to be 801.11 b

or g compatible.

Computer

Wireless Router or

Router + Access Point

(802.11b or g)

DSL/Cable Modem

WF6972 Handset

Wireless Connection

Wired Connection

In the setup, a wireless router

or a combination of router

and access point is required.

Also, a DHCP (Dynamic Host

Conguration Protocol) server

is to be running either on the

router or PC.
