Synonyms: Finely divided wood particles, powdered wood, sawdust, wood flour, hardwood dust, wood shavings, softwood
dust, mdf dust.
Additional Information: Wood dust consists of finely divided wood particles generated from sawing, sanding, routing, or
chipping solid dimensional lumber or wood laminated materials. It may be light to dark colored granular solid, and may have a
light aromatic odor. Color and odor are dependent upon the species of wood and the amount of times passed since the dust
was generated. This type of wood dust may consist of dust from hard and soft woods with the exception of western red cedar.
