Instructions / Assembly

Skidger’s groundbreaking designs make weeding easier,
and gardening more fun!
Here are a few tips for using your new Skidger:
1. Safety first! This tool is sharp! Only those who can use it responsibly should have access to it. Children
often find the tool much easier to use than other weeding tools, but adult supervision is a must. It’s
unlikely they will hurt themselves, but an adult should provide them with clear instructions in using it
safely when the adult feels the child is old enough to use it responsibly.
2. The blade is a special type of stainless steel designed to withstand severe conditions. However, there are
over 150 types of stainless steel and all of them will rust or corrode with extended exposure. It’s
recommended that your new Skidger be rinsed or brushed clean on occasion and that it be stored out of
the elements.
3. The Skidger is designed to cut weeds off just beneath the soil. Even though the tool is pointed and looks
like it should be pushed, often pulling the Skidger through the weeds and soil can be more effective. The
blade is sharpened inside and out, so both pushing and pulling are effective!
4. You will find your new Skidger to be sturdy for virtually all garden applications, such as clearing large
areas, extracting weeds from among ground cover, or from beneath drip lines and fences, and using it to
dig out large stubborn weeds. But it is not designed to remove large rocks or tree stumps, or to be
otherwise used in ways beyond its stated purposes. Such uses will void all warranties and guarantees.
