Intended Use The Klutch Heavy-Duty Auto Rewind Air Hose Reel automatically rewinds hoses without kinks. Its speed control device keeps the reel under control at all times. The newly designed swivel and hose inlet connection seal against leaks. The durable construction, made from high quality, impact resistant polypropylene, makes it light-weight and compact. DO NOT attempt to force small equipment to do the work of larger industrial equipment. There are certain applications for which this equipment was designed. It will be a safer experience and do the job better at the capacity for which it was intended. DO NOT use this equipment for a purpose for which it was not intended.
HOSE REEL USE AND CARE Do not force the hose reel. Products are safer and do a better job when used in the manner for which they are designed. Plan your work, and use the correct product for the job. Check for damaged parts before each use. Carefully check that the product will operate properly and perform its intended function. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately. Never operate the product with a damaged part. Store the hose reel when it is not in use.
(2) Remove the bolts that attach the guide roller bracket to the support post. (3) Rotate the guide roller bracket to the correct position, replace bolts, and tighten. 3. Using the four holes in the base, mount the reel in the desired location. Be sure to use appropriate hardware and tighten securely. 4. Apply Teflon tape or pipe sealant to supply line threads, attach to the reel inlet, and tighten. The other end of the incoming line can now be connected to desired supply source. 5.
Floor Ceiling Before Each Use ⚠WARNING Ensure that reel is properly installed before connecting input and output hoses. Bleed gas pressure from system before servicing reel. Ensure that reel, hose, and equipment being serviced are properly grounded. Check the hose condition for wear or damage, and check the swivel fitting for leakage. Replace any worn, damaged, or leaking parts.
Risk of explosion. Do not exceed the MAX working pressure. Wear the proper protective equipment including ANSI Z87.1 safety goggles. Do not point the nozzle or blow air at a person's face. If reel ceases to unwind or rewind, remove system pressure immediately. Do not exceed the back end mark when the hose is pulled out. To avoid damage to the reel, always hold on to the hose while it is rewinding. 1. Check reel for correct operation by slowly pulling out the hose.
If the spring does not work well… If air leaks out… The spring tension needs to be adjusted. Adjust the spring tension. 1. Pull out approximately 6 feet of hose and allow the drum to latch. 2. Remove hose stopper from hose, and feed hose back through guide. 3. Wrap the pulled hose one time around the drum to increase tension or un-wrap hose one time from drum to decrease tension. 4. Re-insert hose through guide, and install stopper onto hose end. 5. Unlatch the drum and check tension.
