NOTICE: The Rocking Chair product that you have purchased requires some assembly. As with all furniture,

proper assembly is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of your rocker. Hinkle Chair cannot be responsible

for any damage or injury that results from improper assembly of the chair. Please read and follow these instructions

ROCKING CHAIR ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS D-R/D-L E A C-2 B C-1 F PARTS INCLUDED: 1 – Chair Back (A) 1 – Chair Seat (B) 1– Back Spindle (C-1) 1– Front Spindles (C-2) 2 – Rocker Sides (D-L/D-R) 2 – Runners (E) 1- Headrest (F) 10 – Wooden Buttons 10– Hex Head Screws 1 – Hex Wrench 4 – Runner Nails TOOLS REQUIRED FOR ASSEMBLY: (NOT INCLUDED) Standard Hammer (using folded towel/heavy cloth to protect the finish) Phillips Screwdriver Note: Spindle styles vary but assembly is the same.

STEP 1: __________________________________________ ______________________________________________ Place right side of rocker D-R on cardboard shipping box with mortised holes facing up. Insert the Headrest (F) into the mortise at the top of the back post. Tap in with hammer until fully inserted. Ensure the bevel faces the rear of the rocker Fig. 1 Insert the Back (A) into the mortised hole in the back post below the Headrest (F). Note: The Back also has bevels that need to face to the rear. STEP 1:________________________________________________________________________________________ Place Front Spindle (C-2 long one) into pre-drilled hole on the front post of Chair Side D-R. Tap in with hammer until fully seated. Fig. 5 Place Side (D-L) over the tenons facing up and align with the pre-drilled holes and mortises on Side (D-L). Tap down until fully inserted. STEP 2: _________________________________________________________________________________________ Continue placing Hex Head Screws in pre-drilled hole in the front post. Again do not fully tighten. Repeat for the lower pre-drilled hole on the front post. Fig 9 Fig. 9 STEP 3: _________________________________________________________________________________________ Rotate the rocker onto the other side.

STEP 4:____________________________________________________ _____________ _______________________ Place the Runner (E) over the tenons at the boom of the posts. Ensure that the pre-drilled hole in the Runner (E) faces in. Align the tenons and pre-drilled holes and tap on with a hammer. STEP 4:____________________________________________________ _____________ _______________________ With the nails provided, place one nail per runner into the predrilled hole in side of runner. Repeat for all four posts on both sides. CARE TIPS LISTED BELOW ARE SOME TIPS TO HELP KEEP YOUR FURNITURE LOOKING NEW. To preserve the finish on stained or pure white furniture it is highly recommended that they either be placed indoors or in a protected environment such as a covered porch. In any case the finish will last longer and look better if kept out of direct sunlight and blowing rain. This furniture is not intended to be used in an unprotected environment.
