Set up the beauty of your garden where you desire with this

handmade and easy-to-move ladder planter. The wood

window box planters are just right for growing owers or

holding your gardening supplies. Bring your garden to new

Make a mark with a pencil 11-1/4” from the top of

each board. Make a second mark 3-1/4” on the width

of the boards. Using a straight edge, draw an angled

line between the two points.

STEP 1: MEASURE for top angled cut

From the bottom of each board, measure 1-1/2” and make

a mark. Using the straight edge, draw a line from the mark

to the corner.

STEP 3: make cuts Cut along the angled lines using a circular saw on both boards. Save the bottom angled pieces. STEP 4: clamp rails together Clamp the two side rails together. STEP 5: mark position of planters With the two rails clamped together with the long side facing upward, mark a line across both the boards at 8”, 20”, 32”, 44”, and 56” from the bottom. STEP 6: cut window box planters Cut off the overhanging parts of the window boxes with a circular saw so they fit flush against the rails.

STEP 8: lay out boxes Lay out the boxes between the side rails spaced out where the marks were made in step 5. Use the bottom angled wood scraps set aside in step 3 to prop the boxes up to the correct angle. STEP 9: screw boxes to rails Attach the boxes to the rails by drilling them onto the rails from the inside of each box with 1-1/2” screws. Use four screws per box, two on each side. STEP 10: plant Lean the ladder planter up against a wall and line the boxes with plant fiber.
