INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FIRECLAY APRON FRONT FARMHOUSE SINKS

These instructions are for installing Transolid

Fireclay apron front farmhouse

sinks. If you are installing another type of sink, such as a standard Undermount or Top

mount (Drop-in) sink, please refer to instructions specically for those sinks.

ATTENTION INSTALLER:

Transolid

recommends that all countertops be cut by an approved or certied installer

and that the sinks be installed by the installer whenever possible.

Transolid Fireclay Farmhouse Sinks are individually handmade, we suggest using expe-

rienced and professional installers only. For custom cutting of countertop and installation

of the actual sink, on-site installation is also recommended. Acceptable variances are

approximately 1/8 inch. Alignment to the cutout and precise application and trimming of

any adhesive sealant are critical to a superior t and nished look. Please take extra care

in tis regard.

Transolid

recommends custom cabinetry. Consult your cabinet dealer for details on the

requirements for farmhouse sinks.

Transolid

is not responsible for sink or countertop if damaged during installation.

Fireclay farmhouse sinks are heavy - use caution when handling.

Remember, it is your responsibility to follow all local plumbing and building codes.

Inspect sink for damage prior to beginning installation. Do not install a damaged unit.

The warranty will be voided if these installation instructions are not followed.

Templates are not supplied. The physical use of the sink will ensure the must accurate

cutout.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - FIRECLAY FARMHOUSE SINKS Installation Options Transolid® farmhouse sinks offer different installation options depending on your cabinet design. Installation types include under-counter (referred to here as undermount), flush mount, built-up, and above counter. Not all installation types are included in these instructions. Undermount Installation Typical undermount Installation with 1/4” reveal is recommended.

. Make the Template and Cutout Depending on the installation option, make the proper cutout of the countertop. Transolid® recommends a 1/4” reveal on 3 sides when installed undermount style. For a flush mount or built-up installation, cut countertop along the outside line of the sink profile. The front end of Transolid® fireclay farmhouse sinks are designed to be installed 3/4” extended out beyond the front end of the countertop. Cut countertop accordingly.

Suggestions for the Care and Cleaning of Transolid® Fireclay Sinks When it comes to maintenance, Transolid® recommends to be consistent in your cleaning. It is better to clean on a more frequent basis and avoid the need for heavy duty cleaning. Make sure your sink is clean and dry when not in use. This is the best method of preventive maintenance. Use a soft, non-scratching sponge or cloth and a standard liquid soap for everyday cleaning.

3. Hacer una plantilla y recortes Dependiendo de la opción de instalación, realice el corte adecuado de la encimera. Transolid® recomienda que el fregadero se revele 1/4 de pulgada en tres lados cuando se instala debajo del mostrador.
