Grasp the module and pull it out.
Do not touch the connectors on the memory module or on the computer.
Debris on the connectors may cause memory access problems.
Removing the memory module

Seat the cover and secure it with two screws and replace the battery.

Clear Hibernation files. Refer to the section Clearing Hibernation files.
Clearing Hibernation files
After you install or remove a memory module, you will need to clear
Hibernation related files. Follow the steps below.
1.
Click the
Start
button and click
Shut Down
.
2.
Select
Restart in MS-DOS mode
and click
OK
.
3.
At the MS-DOS prompt type
CD \Windows
and press
Enter
.
4.
Type
HALLOC /C
and press
Enter
.
5.
Type
Exit
and press
Enter
, and the computer will restart.
