Starting, Modifying and Ending the BIOS Setup
Program
Starting the BIOS Setup Program
1. Switch on your computer while pressing the Esc key.
If Password = is displayed, enter the user password and press the
Enter key.
Please refer to Chapter 6, the TOSHIBA Password Utility, for details
about the user password.
The “Check system. Then press [F1] key.” message is
displayed.
2. Press the F1 key.
The BIOS setup program will start up.
Modifying the BIOS
1. Select the RAID ARRAY setting in the SYSTEM SETUP (3/3) screen.
2. The settings are explained as follows. Modify the settings as necessary.
Configuration status and settings
Please refer to the operating instructions displayed in the settings screen.
Current State Shows the current hard disk status.
Create State Shows the hard disk configuration that is to be
created. (Modifications can be made here).
Built-in HDD1 Status of the connected hard disk.
Built-in HDD2 Status of the secondary hard disk.
JBOD No RAID settings. Windows cannot be installed
in this disk except by using your Product
Recovery DVD-ROM.
1RAID-0 Set to RAID ready. Windows can be installed on
this disk.
RAID-1 Set to RAID-1 for 2 hard disks
(Current State only).
UNKNOWN A RAID status except for the above status and
settings (Current State Only).
No Drive No hard disks connected.
