Maintenance
CleaningtheAir-IntakeScreen
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Beforeeachuse,removeanybuildupofgrass,dirt,or
otherdebrisfromthecylinderandcylinderheadcooling
ns,airintakescreenontheywheelend,andthe
carburetor-governorleversandlinkage.Thiswillhelpensure
adequatecoolingandcorrectenginespeed,andwillreduce
thepossibilityofoverheatingormechanicaldamagetothe
engine.
CleaningtheCoolingSystem
ServiceInterval:Every100hours—Checkandcleanthe
enginecoolingnsandshrouds.
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Removetheair-intakescreenandfanhousing(Figure
68).
4.Cleanthedebrisandgrassfromtheengineparts.
5.Installtheair-intakescreen,therecoilstarter,andthe
fanhousing(Figure68).
