Left Hydraulic Pump Replacement
5. Remove the pump belt from around the pump
pulleys (Fig. 0932).
Note: Cleanliness is a key factor in a successful
repair of any hydraulic system. Thoroughly
clean all exposed surfaces prior to any type
of maintenance. Cleaning all parts by using
a solvent wash and air drying is usually
adequate. As with any precision equipment,
all parts must be kept free of foreign material
and chemicals. Protect all exposed sealing
areas and open cavities from damage and
foreign material.
Upon removal, all seals, orings, and gaskets
should be replaced. During installation, lightly
lubricate all seals, orings, and gaskets with
clean petroleum jelly prior to assembly.
Left Hydraulic Pump Removal
1. Turn the engine off and remove the key from the
ignition.
2. Set the parking brake.
3. Raise and support the machine.
4. Using a spring tool (Toro Part No. 92-5771), remove
the pump idler extension spring (Fig. 0931).
Note: 2010 machines have the end of the extension
spring connected to an anchor, not the back
side of the engine base.

6. Remove the 2 set screws from the left pump pulley
(Fig. 0933).
