CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethetractorwhileitis
unattended.
Alwaysremovetheignitionkeyandsettheparking
brakewhenleavingthemachineunattended,even
ifjustforafewminutes.
Lettheengineidleatslowthrottle(turtle)for60
secondsbeforeturningtheignitionswitchoff.

asthefuelpumpmayrunandcausethebattery

damagedthemachinecouldoperateunexpectedly
causingpersonalinjury.
•Donottamperwiththeinterlockswitches.
•Checktheoperationoftheinterlockswitches
dailyandreplaceanydamagedswitchesbefore
operatingthemachine.
UnderstandingtheSafetyInterlock
System
Thesafetyinterlocksystemisdesignedtopreventthe
enginefromstartingunless:
•Theparkingbrakeisengaged.
•Thebladecontrolswitch(PTO)isdisengaged.
•Themotioncontrolleversareintheneutrallocked
position
Thesafetyinterlocksystemalsoisdesignedtostopthe
enginewhenthetractioncontrolsaremovedfromthe
lockedpositionwiththeparkingbrakeengagedorif
yourisefromtheseatwhenthePTOisengaged.
Thehourmeterhassymbolstonotifytheuserwhenthe
interlockcomponentisinthecorrectposition.When
thecomponentisinthecorrectposition,atrianglewill
lightupinthecorrespondingsquare.
