CheckingforBentBlades
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),movethe
motion-controlleverstotheneutral-lockedposition
andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Rotatethebladesuntiltheendsfaceforwardand
backward(Figure91).Measurefromalevelsurfaceto
thecuttingedge,positionA,oftheblades(Figure91).

Neverleorcreatesharpnotchesinthe
edgesorsurfacesofblade.
RemovingtheBlades
Bladesmustbereplacedifasolidobjectishit,ifthebladeis
outofbalanceorisbent.Toensureoptimumperformance
andcontinuedsafetyconformanceofthemachine,use
genuineTororeplacementblades.Replacementbladesmade
byothermanufacturersmayresultinnon-conformancewith
safetystandards.

2.Removethebladebolt,curvedwasher,andbladefrom
thespindleshaft(Figure92).
