Somelatermodelyearunitshavebeenbuiltwith
clutchesthatcontainabrakeshim.Whentheclutch
brakehasworntothepointwheretheclutchnolonger
engagesconsistently,theshimcanberemovedto
extendtheclutchlife.

theeldshell/armature.Thebrakepolehas
worntomatchthearmatureandneedsto
continuetomatchaftertheshimisremoved
toensureproperbraketorque.
