13.Insertthesecondbearingandnewsealintothe
wheel.
14.Applyathread-lockingadhesivetothesecond
spacernut,andthreaditontotheaxlewiththe
wrenchatsfacingoutward.
15.Torquethenutto8to9N∙m(75to80in-lb),
loosen,thentorqueto2to3N∙m(20to25in-lb).
Note:Makesurethattheaxledoesnotextend
beyondeithernut.
16.Installthesealguardsoverthewheelhub,and
insertthewheelintothecasterfork.
17.Installthecasterboltandtightenthenutfully.
Important:Topreventsealandbearingdamage,
checkthebearingadjustmentoften.Spinthe
castertire.Thetireshouldnotspinfreely(more
than1or2revolutions)orhaveanysideplay.If
thewheelspinsfreely,adjustthetorqueonthe
spacernutuntilthereisaslightamountofdrag.
Applyanotherlayerofthread-lockingadhesive.

industyorsandyconditions).
Every300hours—Checktheinnerairlter.
Every600hours—Replacetheinnerairlter.
Note:Checktheltersmorefrequentlyifthe
operatingconditionsareextremelydustyorsandy.
RemovingtheFilters
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-control
leverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,andengage
theparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Releasethelatchesontheaircleanerand
pulltheair-inletcoverofftheair-cleanerbody
(Figure45).
4.Cleantheair-inletscreenandcover.
5.Installtheair-inletcoverandsecureitwiththe
latches(Figure45).
