UsingtheDriveWheelRelease
Valves
WARNING
Handsmaybecomeentangledintherotatingdrive
componentsbelowtheenginedeck,whichcould
resultinseriousinjury.
Stoptheengine,removethekey,andallowall
movingpartstostopbeforeaccessingthedrive
wheelreleasevalves.
WARNING
Theengineandhydraulicdriveunitscanbecome
veryhot.Touchingahotengineorhydraulicdrive
unitscancausesevereburns.
Allowtheengineandhydraulicdriveunitstocool
completelybeforeaccessingthedrivewheelrelease
valves.
Thedrivewheelreleasevalvesarelocatedinthebackof
eachhydraulicdriveunit,undertheseat.
Note:Makesurethereleasevalvesareinthefully
horizontalpositionwhenoperatingthemachineor
severedamagetothehydraulicsystemcanoccur.
1.DisengagethePTO(bladecontrolswitch)andturn
theignitionkeytooff.Movetheleverstoneutral
lockedpositionandapplyparkingbrake.Remove
thekey.
2.Rotatethereleasevalveleversverticallytopushthe
machine.Thisallowshydraulicoiltoby-passthe
pumpenablingthewheelstoturn(Figure36).
3.Disengageparkingbrakebeforepushing.
