System
Testthesafety-interlocksystembeforeyouusethe
machineeachtime.Ifthesafetysystemdoesnot
operateasdescribedbelow,haveanAuthorized
ServiceDealerrepairthesafetysystemimmediately.
1.Whilesittingontheseat,engagetheparking
brakeandmovetheblade-controlswitchtoOn.
Trystartingtheengine;theengineshouldnot
crank.
2.Whilesittingontheseat,engagetheparking
brakeandmovetheblade-controlswitchtoOff.
Moveeithermotion-controllever(forwardor
reverse).Trystartingtheengine;theengine
shouldnotcrank.Repeatwiththeother
motion-controllever.
3.Whilesittingontheseat,engagetheparking
brake,movetheblade-controlswitchtoOff,and
lockthemotion-controlleversinneutral.Start
theengine.Whiletheengineisrunning,release
theparkingbrake,engagetheblade-control
switch,andriseslightlyfromtheseat;theengine
shouldstop.
4.Whilesittingontheseat,engagetheparking
brake,movetheblade-controlswitchtoOff,and
lockthemotion-controlleversinneutral.Start
theengine.Whiletheengineisrunning,center
themotioncontrols;theengineshouldstop.
DrivingForwardor
Backward
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedas
measuredinrpm(revolutionsperminute).Place
thethrottlecontrolinthefastpositionforbest
performance.Alwaysoperateinthefullthrottle
positionwhenmowing.
CAUTION
Machinecanspinveryrapidly.Operatormay
losecontrolofmachineandcausepersonal
injuryordamagetomachine.
Usecautionwhenmakingturns.
Slowthemachinedownbeforemaking
sharpturns.
