BleedingtheHydraulicSystem
1.Raisetherearofmachineupandsupportwithjack
stands(orequivalentsupport)justhighenoughto
allowdrivewheelstoturnfreely.

Disengageparkingbrake.
A.Movethebypassleversintothepushingthe
machineposition;refertothePushingthe
MachinebyHandsectioninOperation.Withthe
bypassvalvesopenandtheenginerunning,slowly
movethemotioncontrolleversinbothforward
andreverse(5or6times).
B.Movethebypassleversintotheoperating
themachineposition.Withthebypassvalve
closedandtheenginerunning,slowlymovethe
directionalcontrolinbothforwardandreverse
directions(5to6times).
C.Stoptheengineandchecktheoillevelinthe
expansionreservoir.Addthespeciedoilasuntil
itreachestheFULLCOLDlineontheexpansion
reservoir.
3.Repeatstep2untilalltheairiscompletelypurgedfrom
thesystem.
Note:Whenthetransaxleoperatesatnormalnoise
levelsandmovessmoothlyforwardandreverseat
normalspeeds,thenthetransaxleisconsideredpurged.
4.Checktheoillevelintheexpansionreservoironelast
time.AddthespeciedoilasuntilitreachestheFULL
COLDlineontheexpansionreservoirifnecessary.

Maintenance
ServicingtheCuttingBlades
Maintainsharpbladesthroughoutthecuttingseasonbecause
sharpbladescutcleanlywithouttearingorshreddingthegrass
blades.Tearingandshreddingturnsgrassbrownattheedges,
whichslowsgrowthandincreasesthechanceofdisease.
Checkthecutterbladesdailyforsharpness,andforany
wearordamage.Filedownanynicksandsharpenthe
bladesasnecessary.Ifabladeisdamagedorworn,replace
itimmediatelywithagenuineTororeplacementblade.For
convenientsharpeningandreplacement,youmaywantto
keepextrabladesonhand.
WARNING
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,andapiece
ofthebladecouldbethrownintotheoperator's
orbystander'sarea,resultinginseriouspersonal
injuryordeath.
Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
Replaceawornordamagedblade.
BeforeInspectingorServicingthe
Blades
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengagethe
bladecontrolswitch(PTO),andsettheparkingbrake.
2.TurntheignitionkeytoOff.Removethekey.
InspectingtheBlades
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Inspectthecuttingedges(Figure54).
Note:Iftheedgesarenotsharporhave
nicks,removeandsharpentheblades.Referto
SharpeningtheBlades(page45).
2.Inspecttheblades,especiallythecurvedarea
(Figure54).
Note:Ifyounoticeanydamage,wear,oraslot
forminginthisarea(Figure54),immediatelyinstalla
newblade.
