5.Sitontheseatandstarttheengine.
6.Engagetheblade-controlswitchandletthemowerrun
for1to3minutes.
7.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch,shutoffthe
engine,removethekeyfromthekeyswitch,andwait
forallmovingpartstostop.
8.Turnthewateroffandremovethecouplingfromthe
washouttting.
Note:Ifthemowerisnotcleanafter1washing,soak
itandletitstandfor30minutes.Then,repeatthe
process.
9.Runthemoweragainfor1to3minutestoremove
excesswater.
WARNING
Abrokenormissingwashoutttingcould
exposeyouandotherstothrownobjectsor
bladecontact.Contactwithabladeorthrown
debriscancauseinjuryordeath.
•Replacebrokenormissingwashouttting
immediately,beforeusingmoweragain.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mowerorthroughopeningsinthemower.
DisposingofWaste
Engineoil,batteries,hydraulicuid,andenginecoolantare
pollutantstotheenvironment.Disposeoftheseaccordingto
yourstateandlocalregulations.
Storage
CleaningandStorage
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),engagethe
parkingbrake,turnthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition,
andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine,especiallythe
engineandhydraulicsystem.Cleandirtandchafffrom
theoutsideoftheenginecylinderheadnsandblower
housing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthe
machine.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especially
nearthecontrolpanel,engine,hydraulicpumps,
andmotors.
3.Checktheparkingbrakeoperation;refertoOperating
theParkingBrake(page16).
4.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
Cleaner(page32).
5.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoChangingtheEngine
OilandOilFilter(page34).
6.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingtheTire
Pressure(page40).
7.Chargethebattery;refertoChargingtheBattery(page
39).
8.Scrapeanyheavybuildupofgrassanddirtfromthe
undersideofthemower,thenwashthemowerwith
agardenhose.
Note:Runthemachinewiththeblade-controlswitch
(PTO)engagedandtheengineathighidlefor2to
5minutesafterwashing.
9.Checktheconditionoftheblades;refertoServicing
theCuttingBlades(page41).
10.Preparethemachineforstoragewhennon-useoccurs
over30days.Preparethemachineforstorageas
follows:
A.Addapetroleumbasedstabilizer/conditionerto
fuelinthetank.Followmixinginstructionsfrom
thestabilizermanufacturer.Donotuseanalcohol
basedstabilizer(ethanolormethanol).
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshfuelandusedat
alltimes.
B.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystem(5minutes).
C.Shutofftheengine,allowittocool,anddrain
thefueltank.
D.Starttheengineandrunituntilitstops.
E.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recyclethefuel
accordingtolocalcodes.
