Seat Box Removal

5. Remove the wire harness from the wire clamp

located on the seat plate (Fig. 075).

1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage

the blade control (PTO), and turn the ignition key to

“OFF” to stop the engine. Remove the ignition key.

2. Raise the seat and disconnect the negative and

positive battery cables from the battery.

3. Remove the two wing nuts securing the battery hold

down to the battery. Remove the battery hold down

and the battery from the seat box (Fig. 073).

4. Unplug the wiring harness connector from the seat

switch (Fig. 074).
