GeneralSafety
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunits,
mufers,andenginecompartmenttohelpprevent
res.Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
•Shutoffthefuelbeforestoringortransportingthe
machine.
•Disengagethedrivetotheattachmentwhenever
youaretransportingornotusingthemachine.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanyenclosure.
•Neverstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheateroronotherappliances.
PushingtheMachineby
Hand
Important:Alwayspushthemachinebyhand.
Donottowthemachine,becausetowingmay
damageit.
Thismachinehasanelectric-brakemechanism,and
topushthemachine,theignitionkeymustbeinthe
RUNposition.Thebatteryneedstobechargedand
functioningtodisengagetheelectricbrake.
PushingtheMachine
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch,andengagetheparking
brake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Locatethebypassleversontheframeonboth
sidesoftheengine.
4.Movethebypassleversforwardthroughthekey
holeanddowntolocktheminplace(Figure23).

5.Turntheignitionkeyonanddisengagethe
parkingbrake.
