curvedwasher(cuppedsidetowardtheblade),andthe
bladebolt(Figure50).
3.Torquethebladeboltto47to88N•m(35to65ft-lb).
LevelingtheMowerDeck
Ensurethatthemowerdeckislevelanytimeyouinstallthe
mowerdeckorwhenyouseeanunevencutonyourlawn.
Checkthemowerdeckforbentbladespriortoleveling;
removeandreplaceanybentblades;refertotheCheckingfor
BentBlades(page36)beforecontinuing.
Levelthemowerdeckside-to-sidebeforeadjustingthe
front-to-rearslope.
Requirements:
•Themachinemustbeonalevelsurface.
•All4tiresmustbeproperlyinated;refertoChecking
theTirePressure(page34).
LevelingfromSidetoSide
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Movethemotion-controlleversoutwardtothePARK
position,shutofftheengine,removethekey,and
waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Settheheight-of-cutlevertothemiddleposition.
4.Carefullyrotatetheblade(s)sothattheyareallsideto
side(Figure53andFigure54).
