CheckingtheHydraulicLines
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Checkhydraulichosesandhosesforleaks,loosettings,
kinkedhoses,loosemountingsupports,wear,general
weathering,andchemicaldeterioration.Makeanynecessary
repairsbeforeoperating.
Note:Keepareasaroundthehydraulicsystemcleanfrom
grassanddebrisbuildup.
Note:Extendedoperatingtimeathightemperaturesinahot
climatemayleadtodeteriorationofhosesandseals.Inspect
morefrequentlyinahotclimate,andchangethehydraulic
oilandltermorefrequently.

Maintenance
ServicingtheCuttingBlades
Toensureasuperiorqualityofcut,keepthebladessharp.
Forconvenientsharpeningandreplacement,youmaywant
tokeepextrabladesonhand.
WARNING
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,andapiece
ofthebladecouldbethrownintotheoperator's
orbystanders’area,resultinginseriouspersonal
injuryordeath.
Inspectthebladesperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
Replaceawornordamagedblade.
BeforeInspectingorServicingthe
Blades
Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengagethebladesand
settheparkingbrake.Turntheignitionkeytooff.Remove
thekey,anddisconnectthesparkplugwiresfromthespark
plugs.
InspectingtheBlades
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Inspectthecuttingedges(Figure77).
2.Iftheedgesarenotsharporhavenicks,removeand
sharpentheblade;refertoSharpeningtheBlades(page
54).
3.Inspecttheblades,especiallyinthecurvedarea.
4.Ifyounoticeanycracks,wear,oraslotforminginthis
area,immediatelyinstallanewblade(Figure77).
