25. Secure the assembly with a washer and nut (Fig.

0558).

26. Repeat steps 21 through 25 on the other side of the

machine.

27. Move the platform to the “Up” position (Fig. 0559).

28. Remove the nut and washer securing the brake arm

torsion spring, then remove the spring (Fig. 0560).

29. Position the torsion spring over the spacer and

bolt. The straight end of the spring is secured by

the chassis, the curved end hooks under the brake

assembly (Fig. 0561).
