StoppingtheMachine
Tostopthemachine,movethemotion-controllevers
toneutral,thenmovetherightmotion-controllever
intotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,disengagethepower
takeoff(PTO),andturnthekeytotheOFFposition.
Engagetheparkingbrakewhenyouleavethe
machine;refertoOperatingtheParkingBrake(page
15).Remembertoremovethekeyfromtheswitch.
CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethemachinewhile
itisunattended.
Alwaysremovethekeyandengagethe
parkingbrakewhenleavingthemachine
unattended.
SideDischargingor
MulchingtheGrass
Thismachinehasahingedgrassdeectorthat
dispersesclippingstothesideanddowntowardthe
turf.
DANGER
Withoutthegrassdeector,dischargecover,
orcompletegrasscatcherassemblymounted
inplace,youandothersareexposedtoblade
contactandthrowndebris.Contactwith
rotatingmowerblade(s)andthrowndebris
causeinjuryordeath.
•Donotremovethegrassdeectorfrom
themachine,becausethegrassdeector
routesmaterialdowntowardtheturf.Ifthe
grassdeectoriseverdamaged,replaceit
immediately.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
machine.
•Nevertrytoclearthedischargeareaor
mowerbladesunlessyoureleasethebail
andthepowertakeoff(PTO)isoff.Rotate
thekeytotheOFFposition.Alsoremove
thekeyanddisconnectthewire(s)from
thesparkplug(s).
